FAQ

Here are some quick answers to questions we often get along with some helpful information about Bags and Bulk Landscape Supply Yard.

1- How do you sell your mulch, decorative stone or other bulk landscaping materials?
* We sell everything by the cubic yard or half yard.  We are working to add more bag options for smaller projects and ease of handling.

2- Yard Access.
* The Yard is safe to access by all vehicles year around. During and after rain there will be car friendly puddles which dry up over time. New customers should stop in at the yellow booth or park along the wall and get instructions. Or you can park in front and walk around. Customer Service is #1

3- Will someone be there to load?
* Yes! Someone is always on-site during business hours to load. Most people never leave their vehicle.

4- How do you load/What can you load?
* We use a mid size loader with a 6’ wide 1 cubic yard bucket, a 8’ wide 3 cubic yard bucket as well as pallet forks. From a light duty pickup truck or car and trailer up to Quad axles and Semi trailers we can load everything. Exception being trucks with toppers or similar that block our access to load safely and efficiently.

5- Do we deliver?
* Yes! Standard delivery is up to 10 miles from our yard.  Delivery rate varies depending on material, quantity and location. Bulk mulch or semi loads of mulch are up to 100 miles. Out of range? Give us a call for a custom rate.

6- Does someone need to be onsite for delivery?
* No. As long as we have dumping instructions and or area is marked (tarp, cone, caulk or stick X to mark spot, etc) we can deliver anytime as scheduled.

7- What size tarp do I need for my mulch delivery?
*A 15’x20’ tarp will cover enough area for about 10 yards of mulch delivered and dumped on a flat obstruction free spot.

8- Dumping Location.
* Dump location MUST be on a solid, flat, even surface.  We DO NOT drive on lawns or dump at a slope/angle. We DO NOT DUMP UNDER OVERHANGING LINES OF ANY TYPE (electric/phone/cable/etc).  Any dumping location deemed unsafe by driver delivery will be canceled at customers expense. We are not liable for any damages caused by delivery or dumping of materials.

9- How much does 1 yard of mulch weigh?
* On average one cubic yard of mulch weighs about 600 pounds. This can GREATLY vary depending on what type of mulch as well as season. In early spring mulch holds much more water than in summer mulch tends to dry up and loss excess weight.

10- How to calculate amount of material needed for mulching?
*First measure your landscape areas and try to convert the odd shapes into shapes easier to calculate such as square, rectangle, circle along with triangles.

  • To find the area of a SQUARE|RECTANGLE – multiply the length x’s the width
  • To find the area of a CIRCLE – multiply 3.14 x radius x radius
  • To find the area of a TRIANGLE – multiply 1/2 x the base x the height
  • Add the totals together to get your total square footage
  • 1 yard covers approximately 100 depending on material at 3”
